Axios Gaming’s Stephen Totilo reported that Ubisoft CEO Guillemot emailed his employees an open letter in response to Activision Blizzard’s recent allegations.
According to this letter, not everyone feels confident in the processes put in place to handle misconduct reports.
“We have made significant progress over the past year,” said Guillemot.
Ubisoft employees from 32 studios signed an open letter in solidarity with Activision Blizzard employees. Additionally, the letter criticizes Ubisoft’s management’s handling of its misconduct scandals over the past year.”

Totilo reported that Ubisoft employees responded to the CEO’s letter by saying, “This is exhausting.”

Nearly 1,000 workers have now signed the letter.
Additionally, as highlighted by Eurogamer, employees of Ubisoft outlined three key demands from the company:

“Stop promoting and moving known offenders from studio to studio, team to team without repercussions. This cycle needs to end.”
“We want a collective seat at the table, to be able to have a say in how Ubisoft moves forward from here.”
By being the first to start this kind of collaboration, Ubisoft has the opportunity to be at the forefront in creating a better future for the games industry. We will demand that it be approached in a collaborative approach with employees at all levels of the organization.
