Opposition FIghters Kill Myanmar Military Snitch And Bombed Government Offices

Local resistance fighters have claimed responsibility for the killing of a man accused of aiding the military in its deadly assault against a protest stronghold in Bago in April 2021.
Kyaw Kyaw, also known as Kyaw Soe Htut, was shot twice in the stomach at close range at around 8 am on Sunday morning according to a witness, adding that both the victim and his two attackers were riding motorcycles.
The people on the bike shot him while he was on his motorcycle. “He hit the pavement and crashed,” the witness said.
The Bago branch of the People’s Defense Force (PDF) also bombed the Hantharwaddy Township administration office and the township electricity office before the assassination.
An employee was injured in the bombing at the electricity office.
Members of the local PDF said, “This is just a first step in holding terrorists accountable.” The bombings are no different.
During the time the military-backed Union Solidarity and Development Party was in power, Kyaw Kyaw, 50, was the administrator of Shin Saw Pu Township, according to a Bago resident.
Kyaw Kyaw was spotted with soldiers attacking a protest stronghold on Ma Ga Dit road on April 9 according to four Bago residents. During the attack, dozens of people were killed.
The junta’s spokesperson could not be reached for comment on Sunday’s killing.
PDF member said the group would investigate all claims that someone has worked with the military before launching an attack.
In his statement, he added, “We do not exterminate informants until we are certain that they have accurate information.”.
“Never have we assassinated anyone immediately after getting the information.”
He said the bombings were part of efforts to target the “pillars” of the junta.
