A Myanmar Admnistrator Is Another VIctim Of The Tit-for-Tat Violence in Myanmar

Earlier in June 2021, a government administrator appointed by the junta was assassinated near a market in Pyigyidagun Township, Mandalay.

A Mandalay resident said Nyo Aye was attacked near the intersection of 58th and 59th streets and died on the way to the hospital.

A monk was collecting alms when he accompanied him. He was waiting outside on a motorcycle while the monk was collecting alms in a house. He was stabbed by unknown people while he was waiting.

A local woman told the press, “We don’t know who did it.”.

Feral dogs in that area are known to be aggressive, so when Nyo Aye shouted for help, people initially assumed he had been bitten.

After the incident, junta troops arrived at the scene and fired shots before conducting inspections and searching for houses that may have installed security cameras and captured footage of the murder, according to residents near the crime scene.

Anti-coup protests continue on a daily basis in Mandalay, and local resistance forces continue to fight the regime’s armed forces despite the junta’s deadly crackdowns.

A shootout ensued after the junta’s soldiers raided a location where the Mandalay People’s Defence Force (MPDF) was stationed on May 22, 2021. Both sides reported casualties.
