Sony Is Working On 25 Games For Playstation 5

Sony’s first-party strategy has been the subject of much external discussion, but a Wired report offers information from the company itself on its upcoming slate of titles.
PlayStation Studios head Hermen Hulst told the outlet that Sony is currently working on more than 25 PlayStation 5 games, half of which are original intellectual properties.
PlayStation’s first-party strategy has been under scrutiny for several years, starting in 2018 when Sony’s E3 press conference focused almost entirely on four games: The Last of Us Part 2, Ghost of Tsushima, Spider-Man, and the externally developed exclusive Death Stranding.
Earlier this year, Sony’s strategy was at the center of a Bloomberg report, in which developers expressed frustration with the company’s focus on blockbusters and established franchises.
Sony closed down its Japan Studio shortly after that report was published.
