Blizzard’s Diablo 4 RPG Is In Development Stage

Blizzard’s upcoming Diablo 4 RPG will advance the art of the genre, according to Activision’s recent investor call.
Diablo 4 is one of three titles currently in development from the franchise. Despite the fact that all four Diablo games will expand and delight the community, the publisher’s chief operating officer, Daniel Alegre, believes Diablo 4 will set the bar. Alegre told investors that Diablo 4 would advance the action-RPG genre while being worth the wait.
Though Alegre made some pretty bold statements about the next Diablo game, he revealed that the second stage testing of Diablo: Immortal has been pretty positive thus far. A mobile spin-off is also expected to bridge the narrative gap between Diablo 2 and 3. Fans responded well to Blizzard’s remake of Diablo 2 after the game entered its first public test.
It is an exciting time to be a Diablo fan. Although Blizzard has yet to announce a release date for its next mainline game, both Diablo 2 and Immortal are expected to arrive this year.
Essentially, Blizzard is covering all bases with Diablo this time around, with Immortal catering to the casual mobile market. However, Resurrected will provide a classic experience for long-term fans of the series.
In contrast, Diablo 4’s modern take on the genre could bring more players to the franchise while acting as a modern take on the genre.
Diablo: Immortal and Diablo 2: Resurrected will be released sometime in 2021. While Diablo 4 isn’t going to be released until at least 2022, we’ll hopefully receive more information about the sequel as the year progresses.
