Bloomberg reports that the director of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has left CD Projekt Red following accusations of bullying at the studio.
Despite being clear of the bullying accusations, Konrad Tomaszkiewicz sent an email to employees stating that he was stepping down.
He also added the following: Despite this, a lot of people are feeling fear, stress or discomfort when working with me. He then apologized for all the bad blood I have caused.”
The Witcher 3 has gained a great deal of popularity within and outside the gaming community as well as more recently being adapted into a popular Netflix show. Konrad Tomaszkiewicz has also been credited as the executive producer of Cyberpunk 2077.
Despite the fact that CD Projekt has yet to comment on the situation, Tomaszkiewicz outlined in an email to staff that he was sad, a bit disappointed, and resigned
Change is a long and arduous process, so he will continue working on himself.
In addition to Tomaszkiewicz’s departure, several unfortunate events have occurred at CD Projekt Red as well. For instance, the launch state caused a variety of issues for the company, which caused its share price to plummet.
In February 2021, the Polish developer also suffered a massive cyberattack, which resulted in its source code being sold on the black market.
