Myanmar Mother Is Protesting the Arrest of Her Son by Myanmar Military

A Myanmar mother protests the arrest and the detention of her son after he was involved in a car accident on April 15, 2021. Her son also needs medical treatment as the military is not treating his wounds.
The mother of 26-year-old activist Moe Sander Kyu says he has been suffering from high pressure for the past six years.
Kyu is worried because she does not know if he is alive or being fed. He is not very healthy, but he is very motivated.
Wai Moe Naing, her son, was probably hurt after he was hit by a car on the 15th, and his mother wants to know his current health status.
A photo of her son with a bruised eye and swollen face went viral on social media on April 16th. It looked like he had been tortured.
Because the Myanmar military has cut off the people’s access to the Internet, his mother has told the media that she has not seen the photo.
Her mother has not been sleeping well since he was imprisoned. She didn’t sleep for two days. She can’t sleep because she doesn’t know what happened to him. She does not know his condition.
Her son Wai Moe Naing served as the chair of the Monywa University Student Union from 2014 to 2015. He is a member of the Sagaing Regional Youth Committee and the Monywa General Strike Committee.
Since February 6, when he organized daily anti-coup protests in Monywa, which sits on the eastern bank of the Chindwin River, her son rose to prominence.
Two police officers were killed in Monywa on March 25th, 2021 and her son was arrested for murder charges. In Monywa, the charges are considered punishment for arresting someone who was providing information to the Myanmar junta.
Her son faces a number of charges, including theft and incitement.
Her son is believed to have been tortured and interrogated at the Northwestern Regional Command headquarters in Myanmar.
In her view, they are going to punish him for his protests if they continue to interrogate him. Furthermore, she believes that the charges against him are bizarre.
She is a retired teacher. She spent 20 years teaching in Monywa. His father died when he was only 6 years old. Her aon is her only son.
