Myanmar Soldiers Kill Civilians and Loot A Mosque

According to residents, the Myanmar military regime shot and injured two civilians in the town of Myiynge, Mandalay Region, on April 13th, 2020.
The two men who died were from the Yankin district, and their bodies were cremated the next day.
The soldiers shot and killed an individual who was part of the Civil Disobedience Movement (CDM), a resident of Myanmar said.
They had come to detain a civil servant who was associated with the CDM, and when residents protested the soldiers started shooting at them. The next day the soldiers continued shooting so the residents could not leave the town.
At 2 pm on the 14th of April, 2020, the soldiers began to attack a barricade set up by the residents of the Thazin district.
The soldiers entered the local mosque and took the money that was inside.
Soldiers are still blocking the way outside, meaning the residents are not able to go outside. They don’t know how much money they took.
People were unable to obtain a statement from the military spokesperson in Myanmar regarding the looting of the mosque and the killings of the two men.
Upon moving to the village next door on April 14th, the suspects again began shooting, according to local residents.
