Thai Private Hospitals Get More Vaccines

The Thai government has approved the purchase of up to 10 million doses of approved COVID-19 vaccines by private hospitals and institutions. It is expected that the government will approve several more vaccines in the near future.
Phuket has vowed to vaccinate all residents, both foreign and local, to open up to vaccinated tourists by July 1.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Thailand (CAAT) plans to prioritize vaccinations for 20,000 front-line aviation personnel in advance of reopening Thailand to vaccinated tourists.

BOI Approves New Biotech Investment

Recently, the Board of Investment (BOI) approved new projects with a combined investment value of 2.4 billion baht (around $78 million) for investment promotion.
Bioplastics, biopharmaceuticals, and biomedical treatments are among the new projects that are being initiated by the BOI as part of its moves toward a BCG (Bio, Circular, and Green) economy.
