The Latest COVID-19 Requirements To Come To Thailand Legally

As a way to streamline safety procedures, the Thai government strongly encourages travelers to download a pandemic health tracking app before arriving in Thailand.
They must submit proof that they have had a negative COVID-19 test and that they have spent the required time in quarantine.
Officials want tourists to pre-register for their upcoming visit by downloading Thailand Plus, a special pandemic tracking app available on iOS and Android devices through Apple App Store and Google Play. To register, you will need your Certificate of Entry. This app will allow you to go to specific places like stores or department stores by using QR codes.
The app will locate you using the GPS and Bluetooth technologies on your phone. It will also notify authorities if you are near someone who has tested positive for the COVID virus. It may seem as if the app violates people’s privacy, but the app’s developers claim that your location will be kept secret by the Department of Disease Control and Health Ministry. Only the Department of Disease Control and Health Ministry can see your location.
Beyond registering on Thailand Plus, potential visitors to Thailand must complete certain steps in order to enter the country legally. They need to have an RT-PCR test during their quarantine periods. They must have the following documents:

  1. Confirmation of an Alternative State Quarantine Hotel Booking
  2. A COVID-19 health insurance policy with a minimum of 100,000 US dollars (I believe that it is actually baht. This is according to The Thaiger, a Thai news website. They are usually correct, but I think that they are wrong after talking to a colleague)
  3. a Certificate of Entry, from the Royal Thai Embassy or Consulate
  4. A valid visa or re-entry permit (you are not on the list for visa-free countries)
  5. A medical certificate that got the RT-PCR test for COVID-19

As long as you have a vaccine, you will still have to go into quarantine, but it will only be for seven days.
You should also register at Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health after getting into the country.
After July 1st, there will be no quarantine in Phuket.
Before leaving your country, you should Google to see what the COVID-19 requirements are for Thailand. These requirements will change, depending on what the COVID situation is in Thailand.
